**Announcement: Appointment of Grants Manager**
We are pleased to announce the hiring of Ms. Vera Brown as the Grants Manager for the CLAFS. Ms. Brown will engage in the provision of grant writing consulting services as an independent contractor and will represent our organization in this capacity.
Her responsibilities will include the following: obtaining approval from the CLAFS Executive Board for grant opportunities, reviewing Requests for Proposals (RFPs) related to CLAFS, and analyzing organizational materials as well as conducting background research necessary for proposal creation. Ms. Brown will participate in meetings, both in-person and virtually, as required to fulfill her obligations.
Additionally, she will write and edit proposals directed toward potential grantors, leveraging her expertise in the field. The development of detailed and persuasive grant proposals will encompass narratives, budgets, and supporting documentation. Ms. Brown will collaborate with CLAFS staff as needed to collect relevant information and data for the proposals, ensuring that all submissions are meticulously tailored to meet the specific prerequisites of each funding agency.
Furthermore, she will conduct prospect research to identify suitable funding opportunities and will perform comprehensive evaluations to ensure alignment with available grants.
